Orlando, Fla. — Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Last story of the year and we want to make it a compilation of good stories and those not so good that allowed us to learn and grow — and be where we are, overlooking the woods but still being able to smell the roses.
This 2017 ran by really fast! We started the year with new government, as usual, many were happy with the idea, others not. Having a different view, that is a big privilege enjoyed by those who live in a country that protects the freedom of its citizens.
Terrorism and war. Though it is a possibility, we have to believe in the goodwill of the human race. Yes there are a few bad apples, but there are lots of people around the entire world. Hate does not, and will not overcast love!
Families, men, women, neutral, children might be restructuring and some fighting for their rights to choose, but the mail goal is to find love, real love.
Race. As good Americans, we all know that our race is not determined by color, country of origin or any of those nonsensical ideas. We just need to continue pushing forward our hopes, that one day a good education and hard work will take you wherever you want to go in your dreams.
Religion. Some believe in God or a good supreme being and depending on their philosophical views will call it different ways or different religions, as matter of fact, most of us in America do. However, some others choose not to, and stand on science’s side, and they have the right to do so.
In Chinese philosophy, yin and yang describe how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world, and how they may give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another.
Although it is a matter of serious study and discussion, whatever you believe in should guide us all towards the same direction. A better world for all, a place where we could all live and find happiness from generation to generation.
Natural Disasters. Being kind to mother earth is not a joke. This year 2017 has been particularly spiteful in terms of human suffering due to hurricanes, earthquakes, wild fires, erupting volcanoes. Politics aside — this year took us through an unkind path to discover what we all already knew, we must find common grounds to avoid further deterioration and preserve the greatest gift ever given to us: Earth. A place where your children, and grandchildren can find a safe and sustainable space of their own.
For us at Orlando Insurance Center it’s been a busy year full of good things too, and good friends of course! We are growing, and will continue to expand our operations to provide solutions to protect you, your loved ones, your property, and everything that matters to you. But we would like to raise a toast to a New Year full of peace, hope, honesty, happiness and everything that is good in this world, and beyond…
We’ll take a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
ENJOY LIFE RESPONSIBLY!
